The &#8220;certificato penale&#8221; can be requested by the applicant or by a person specifically authorised to act on their behalf.<strong>\u00a0The request can\u00a0only\u00a0be made in Italy, at the local Court Records Office of the Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office in any town (Ufficio Locale del Casellario presso la Procura della Repubblica),\u00a0regardless of the place of birth or residence of the applicant.<\/strong>\u00a0The relevant application forms can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of Justice (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.giustizia.it\/giustizia\/it\/mg_3_3_2.wp\">click here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The \u201c<strong>certificato dei carichi pendenti<\/strong>\u201d, on the other hand, is a document that shows a person\u2019s pending criminal proceedings. This certificate can be requested in person by the applicant or by a person specifically authorised to act on their behalf.\u00a0<strong>The request can\u00a0only\u00a0be made in Italy, at the Court Records Office of the Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office (Ufficio Locale del Casellario presso la Procura della Repubblica), in the town of residence or previous residence of the applicant<\/strong>.
