{"id":2552,"date":"2024-01-03T07:07:52","date_gmt":"2024-01-03T06:07:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consedimburgo.esteri.it\/?page_id=2552"},"modified":"2024-09-25T14:29:58","modified_gmt":"2024-09-25T12:29:58","slug":"admission-re-admission-to-an-italian-school-after-studies-abroad","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/consedimburgo.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/titoli-di-studio\/admission-re-admission-to-an-italian-school-after-studies-abroad\/","title":{"rendered":"Admission\/Re-admission to an Italian school after studies abroad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are planning to move to Italy and your child attended one or more school years in a school that falls under the British education system and that is based in this Consulate General catchment area (<strong>Scotland and Northern Ireland<\/strong>), but they did NOT receive a final education certificate, yet (i.e. <em>National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher<\/em> for Scotland; <em>GCSE, AS-level, A-level<\/em> in Northern Ireland), you can apply for a consular certificate for admission\/re-admission to an Italian school purposes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply for a certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications for a certificate can be submitted\u00a0<strong>by post only<\/strong>, sending all the relevant documents to the following address:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Ufficio Titoli di Studio<br \/>\nConsolato Generale d\u2019Italia<br \/>\nItaly House<br \/>\n20-22 East London Street<br \/>\nEdinburgh &#8211; EH7 4BQ<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Which documents do I need to submit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Application form<\/strong>\u00a0(click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consedimburgo.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/modulistica\/\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>) duly filled and signed (handwritten signature) by one parent or by the student themselves, if over the age of 18. The applicant must provide post and phone contacts;<\/li>\n<li>copies of a valid <strong>identity document<\/strong>\u00a0(passport or national identity card), of the student and of the applying parent \u2013 if applicable;<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>original<\/u><\/strong> <strong>attendance letter<\/strong>, on headed paper, issued by the school or college. The letter must include the following information: full name and date of birth; enrolment dates; years attended; final marks \u2013 if available;<\/li>\n<li><strong>proof of further studies registration<\/strong> (e.g.: pre-registration to an Italian school);<\/li>\n<li>(if the documents are to be returned to an address in the UK):\u00a0a self-addressed pre-paid envelope.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Return of documents<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the documents are to be returned to an address in the UK, the self-addressed pre-paid envelope to be included in the application will be used (see point 5 above).<\/p>\n<p>If the documents are to be returned to an address outside the UK, an international tracked service or an international courier are to be organised by the applicant. In this case, the Qualifications Office will contact the applicant with further instructions, when the certificate will be ready.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Processing times for a certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All applications will be processed\u00a0<strong>within 30 days<\/strong>\u00a0from receiving all the documents listed above, pursuant to relevant legislation (Section 2, paragraph 2, Law 241\/1990).
