The applicant can check the relevant office, specific for their case, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salute.gov.it\/portale\/riconoscimentoQualifiche\/dettaglioSchedaRiconoscimentoQualifiche.jsp?idMat=PROFS&amp;idAmb=RSE&amp;idSrv=R1&amp;flag=P\">Ministry of Health<\/a> website.<\/p>\n<p>The Consulate General of Italy in Edinburgh is responsible only for the <strong>local endorsement (<em>\u201cVisto per conferma\u201d<\/em>)<\/strong> of the documents certifying the employment as healthcare professional on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">public health institutions<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">public interest institutions<\/span>, or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">private non-profit institutions<\/span>, which are based in this Consulate General catchment area (<strong>Scotland and Northern Ireland<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply for the endorsement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications for the endorsement can be submitted\u00a0<strong>by e-mail only<\/strong>, sending all the relevant documents to the e-mail address <strong>edimburgo.scuole@esteri.it<\/strong>, with \u201cRiconoscimento del Servizio Sanitario\u201d on the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which documents do I need to submit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Application form<\/strong>\u00a0(click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/consedimburgo.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/modulistica\/\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>) duly filled and signed (handwritten signature). The applicant must provide post and phone contacts;<\/li>\n<li>copy of an Italian or EU Country valid <strong>identity document<\/strong> (passport or identity card);<\/li>\n<li>.pdf file of the <strong>employment certificate<\/strong>, issued by the relevant healthcare providing institution (see instructions below about the mandatory information to be included in the certificate);<\/li>\n<li>.doc or similar format (editable) file of the <strong>translation into Italian language<\/strong> of the complete employment certificate \u2013 the translation can be carried out by the applicant or by another person, provided it is accurate and complete; this Consulate General will certify the conformity to the original of the translation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information to be included in the employment certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The employment certificate must include <strong>ALL<\/strong> the following information. Before sending the application, the applicant is asked to check that the certificate includes all the information; <strong>should that not be the case, the office must reject the application<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant\u2019s full name;<\/li>\n<li>Job description;<\/li>\n<li>Grade and salary;<\/li>\n<li>Employment dates (the date of the certificate will be the end of the endorsed period, in case the employment is not terminated, yet);<\/li>\n<li>Ward or Service where the applicant is\/has been employed (should the applicant be\/have been employed in different wards at the same time, it is necessary to specify the main tasks);<\/li>\n<li>Whether employed full-time or part-time;<\/li>\n<li><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: the legal status of the health institution, whether a \u201cpublic health institution\u201d, a \u201cpublic interest institution\u201d, or a \u201cprivate non-profit institution\u201d affiliated with the National Health System (NHS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The employment certificate must be signed by the institution Finance Director, Director of HR, or Director of Workforce, or other person with similar administrative position.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Payment methods<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to receive the endorsement, the payment of the relevant consular fees is due (art. 66n TC for the consular certificate and the endorsement &#8211; \u201cVisto per conferma\u201d \u2013 and art. 72a TC for the certificate of conformity to the original of the certificate translation).<\/p>\n<p>After verifying that the application can be processed, the Qualification Office will inform the applicant about exact amount to be transferred and the bank account details, from the e-mail address edimburgo.scuole@esteri.it. The applicant must reply by attaching the confirmation of the bank transfer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Return of documents<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The documents will be returned exclusively on expenses to be paid by the applicant. The Qualifications Office will contact the applicant with further instructions, when the documents will be ready.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Processing times for a certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All applications will be processed\u00a0<strong>within 30 days<\/strong>\u00a0from receiving all the documents listed above, pursuant to relevant legislation (Section 2, paragraph 2, Law 241\/1990).
